Ezinkomo have also roped in Enos Mmesi as assistant coach. The former Killer Giants' mentor will handle the team until Kalambo's paper work has been finalised. BMC spokesperson, Themba Stimela told Mmegi Sport that the Zambian arrived in the country last week and is expected to officially assume duty in a fortnight. "As we had advertised, we managed to get a coach before the season started because we want to start preparations early.
Kalambo has been recruited and we appointed Mmesi as his assistant as he proved his capabilities as head coach at Killer Giants and Letlapeng. We believe that he will get the players together while we wait for Kalambo's (work and residence) permits," Stimela said. Kalambo had a good spell at BMC seven years ago after he was recruited from Jwaneng Comets. When he arrived, BMC were on the brink of relegation but he managed to steer them to an impressive third place finish. The following season, the stocky mentor led Ezinkomo to a respectable sixth place finish but due to differences in the management, he was given the boot. One of the reasons Kalambo lost his job was his continued omission of young and talented Edwin Moalosi who was forced to leave the club and join Township Rollers where he became an instant hit. "Kalambo did well for us but the management then had contrasting ideas about his selection methods. While some felt that he was fine since the team was winning, others believed that he relied on only 11 players and was not willing to give others a chance. The departure of Moalosi left a bitter taste especially when he started excelling at Rollers," Stimela said.
