Big guns seek to avoid early Coke tumble

The knock-out Coca Cola Cup third round kicks off tomorrow with the big guns seeking to overcome their lowly opponents. The competition has never failed to produce surprises with some of the giants crashing out courtesy of the minnows.

Already, one Premier League club, Flamengo Santos has been booted out by neophytes Mochudi Rovers. It is most likely that other top-flight sides might follow Santos this weekend.

That is why Gaborone giants Township Rollers' coach, Daniel 'Chicco' Nare and other tacticians for top sides told Mmegi Sport that they are not going to take their opponents lightly. Ahead of the game against Ferry Wanderers tomorrow, Nare said: "We will have to be very cautious as they once gave Police XI a hard time". He revealed that their preparations have been going well and the only setback is the absence of their players with the national Under-23 side in South Africa. Rollers' players Musa Ohilwe, Thebe Maiketso, Kaone Molefe and Gabriel Bokhutlo were in the Under-23 team that faced Cameroon in the final of the Sasol Eight Nations tournament yesterday.
