Basketball pleads for sponsors

Looking for sponsors: Basketballers in action during the All Stars night last weekend

Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) is pleading with sponsors for financial assistance in order to improve playing standards in the country.

BBA public relations officer, James Kalebwe told Mmegi Sport the association is facing a huge challenge of lack of sponsors. He said the challenge is ernomous to the extent that basketball clubs are self-sponsored and Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) funds the national team.

He further mentioned that at the moment the BBA has a basketball court that is still under construction and they are sourcing for funds that can help them to complete the construction.
