Adel Amrouche ceased to be the Zebras coach yesterday, after the Botswana Football Association released him from his contract which was due to expire in August. Staff Writer, MQONDISI DUBE looks back at a reign that never kicked into gear

Little was known about Amrouche when he was handed the Zebras job in August 2019. He had been hailed for particularly the work he did while in Burundi where the country saw several players shipped abroad.

In Kenya, he was popular with fans and players, but his stay had a sour ending when he was forced to drag the association before FIFA over outstanding payments.
