Please Help Us, We Are Thirsty

During the 2004 general election, some Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) parliamentary candidates promised Mmopane residents that no water connection will be a thing of the past.

Mmoloki Raletobana won the election and his opponent was elected Chairman of Kweneng District Council. Rre Mokgautsi (may his soul rest in peace) was voted Mmopane Councillor.

Since they ascended to power, they have been playing a hide and seek game with us. They have been saying the project is on the pipeline. But this is not what they said while campaigning. I remember one of the two parliamentary hopefuls said we should give him two months into office to be sure of his salary and appointments then water will be brought to our homes.
