I am not power hungry

I wish to respond to recent comments regarding my candidacy for Additional/Ordinary Member of the BDP Central Committee. The critical statement says:

Clearly, this kind of statement cannot be left unchallenged lest innocent BDP members and the nation at large gain an impression that Maxwell Motowane is a power hungry individual. I am not and have never been a position seeker. I have tried throughout my long membership of the BDP to remain a loyal, dedicated and humble MoDomkrag yo o itlhaloganyang.

For the record, I first gained membership of the BDP Central Committee through nomination by the Party President after the Gantsi Congress in 2003. I only became a candidate and won ordinary membership in the 2005 Serowe Congress. I am now only a candidate for the same position in 2007 after my clearly stated but unsuccessful attempts to give way to other interested party members in my region. Bangwe ba ne ba re ga ba na figara (figure) ya ordinary member and instead preferred something higher - ke mafoko a bone!
