BNF mourns Mmammopa

It is with a deep sense of sorrow that the Botswana National Front (BNF) announces the death of one of the founding members of the organisation, Comrade Ketlogetswe Kate Mmopa. "Cde Mmammopa", as she was commonly known, was born in 1925 in Kanye.

She left the BPP during its split and became a member of its off-shoot, Botswana Independence Party (BIP). Cde Mmammopa was active in the Lobatse constituency. Together with other women within the party, they contributed immensely towards making the Women's League what it is today. She was never shy to give counsel on party matters whenever her opinion was sought.
