Tropical Cyclone Dineo has caused destruction in parts of Southern Africa

The Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) would like to inform the public to exercise extra caution near its dams as Tropical Cyclone Dineo is expected to hit some parts of the country.

Dineo was expected to touch down last Friday affecting North, Central and Ghanzi Districts.  Further, heavy rainfall is expected in parts of South East and Southern Districts from today until February 22, 2017. 

Currently, most of the corporation’s dams are full and overspilling, with more downpours there is likelihood of flooding downstream.
