A 38 year-old woman perished when the car she was driving collided with a train at Broadhurst (Ledumang) level crossing yesterday morning.

The gruesome accident, which left Ledumang residents reeling in shock, occurred at the railway crossing behind Northgate Mall. This is the second fatal accident involving a train to have occurred at the same spot in less than seven days.

Superintendent Bonosi Molapisi of Broadhurst Police Station confirmed the incident saying the deceased, who was alone in the car, was driving from the A1 highway into Ledumang.
