Teenager dies after jumping out of moving train

PALAPYE: A 19-year-old Tsamaya teenager died of severe injuries after he allegedly jumped out of a moving passenger train around Morale settlement near Mahalapye early Monday morning

Mahalapye police officer commanding, superintendent Modisaotsile Bonang confirmed the incident saying that the young man was boarding a Botswana Railways train that was coming from Francistown heading to Gaborone.  He said reasons that could have led to the young man allegedly taking the suicidal dive are unknown.

Bonang said in the wee hours of Monday at around 3am, they received a report that a young man had jumped off a moving passenger train at Morale, some 10 kilometres from Mahalapye toward Dibete.
