Teachers make about-turn on marking

Poverty has forced teachers to succumb to the Botswana Examinations Council's better rates to mark this year's Junior Certificate and Botswana Government Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) external examinations.

The marking started in earnest yesterday, with the JC being marked at Rainbow English Medium School, while the BGCSE is being marked at Lethabile English Medium School in Gaborone.

BEC public relations officer, Charles Keikotlhae, said that teachers have responded and come in large numbers to mark.
