Soldier, police officer fingered in nightclub murder

Police are investigating an incident in which four men stabbed and killed a 26-year-old man near Zoom nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The murder comes just a week after a presidential pardonee was arrested in connection with another murder at the popular club at Maruapula shopping complex.

According to eyewitnesses, four men, amongst them a soldier and a police officer had a scuffle with the deceased outside the club. The club bouncer who spoke to Mmegi said, “We were getting ready to leave the club. We had closed about an hour back when I left the building and I saw the men attack the deceased”.
