Score Prepares For Xmas Shopping Fever

FRANCISTOWN: The Christmas fever does not only affect customers but business entities as well. The businesses have to position themselves to reap rich from the shopping frenzy of the festive season.

They have to come up with various sales promotions and campaigns to attract customers at this time of the year.

Francistown Score supermarket branch manager Sethata Ntswaneng says the promotional campaigns are usually run to increase the market share and to compete with other shops stores and establishments. He says that this time, their campaign will involve the introduction of food hampers with necessities or basic commodities. "We have made it a point that our hampers reflect as much as possible our customers' behaviour and perceptions in terms of defining what the basic commodities are. Such commodities include sugar, cooking oil, flour, maize meal, rice and many others," he explains.
