Recently widowed AFM pastor attacked, hospitalized

Just four months after burying his wife following a brutal attack by thieves at their Mochudi home, an Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) pastor, Reverend Mooketsi Mogomotsi is recuperating from serious head injuries at Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) following suspected kidnapping and robbery.

Although details of the incident are still sketchy, it is reported that Mogomotsi’s kidnappers held him for 12 hours, from 3pm to 3am. Mochudi police station commander, Simon Sitale confirmed that they were investigating the incident, and that two suspects were on Tuesday afternoon arrested at Moralane lands in connection to the matter.

“I can confirm that an Apostolic Faith Mission pastor was kidnapped and robbed of his car on Monday. Initial investigations have revealed that his kidnappers kept him from 3pm to 3am. He was found with serious injuries on the head,” Sitale said.
