Police to buy Jamali's flats at a cost of P300 million

Police Commissioner, Keabetswe Makgophe has said the process of purchasing businessman Seyed Jamali’s flats at the cost of P300 million has been concluded.

He stated the Botswana Police Service (BPS) has been renting the blocks of flats at Maruapula location in Gaborone and paying an amount of P1.2 million monthly. Makgophe revealed the development addressing the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today. He also  the police has been leasing said blocks of flats since April 2016 and the transaction to purchase the flats hasnow  been concluded.

“The transaction to purchase the blocks of flats was concluded recently through the normal tendering process,” said Makgophe.
