Over 1,600 Teachers Promoted Recently

The Ministry of Education and Skils Development (MoESD) says they have promoted 719 secondary school teachers from Grades C1 to D1, while 984 primary school teachers were elevated from C1 to D2 in the 2015-2016 financial year.

The MoESD’s Permanent Secretary Theophilous Mooko  told a BOSETU Congress in Palapye where he was invited to update the congress regarding what government has in store for the teachers.

While accepting that challenges remained in the provision of accommodation for teachers countrywide, Mooko told the BOSETU congress that between  2014 and 2015  financial year, some 628 houses were availed, with a further 352 housing units being built for this financial year, and another 130 housing units to be delivered next financial year.
