Otlogetswe resigns

Members of the Public are informed that Dr Thapelo Otlogetswe has resigned from the Press Council of Botswana. This follows his appointment to the Botswana Movement for Democracy technical team.

Article 6.3 of the PCB Notarial Deed of Trust prohibits members from taking active part in partisan politics.When accepting Dr Otlogetswe's resignation, the Press Council of Botswana chairperson Gideon Nkala regretted the resignation but said it was necessary to uphold the council's integrity and public confidence. Nkala thanked Otlogetswe for his selfless service to the council. Dr Otlogetswe's replacement will be named in due course.
