Ookeditse resigns

Mmegi is reliably informed that the Director of Youth at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development (MYSC) Lawrence Ookeditse is serving a month notice after he tendered his resignation letter to the Ministry last year December.

It is an open secret that Ookeditse is preparing to wrestle Nata-Gweta MP Polson Majaga for the constituency during the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primary elections slated for August 2018.

The youthful Ookeditse has reportedly made up his mind but has repeatedly refused to confirm if indeed he is running for the Nata-Gweta constituency but all indications are that he is. For instance, in 2017 alone, Majaga complained a record 10 times on the floor of Parliament over Ookeditse’s alleged encroachment into the constituency.
