Nxakato JSS boarding master dies in car crash

FRANCISTOWN: A 48-year-old boarding master at Nxakato Junior Secondary School (JSS) was killed in a horrific road accident in the early hours of Thursday.

Sowa Town Police Station’s Sub-Inspector Opelo Olebile said that they received a call from a passerby in the morning at around 8am who informed them about the accident.

According to Olebile, the boarding master was driving along a gravel road from Sowa Town to Tswaane settlements when the accident occurred.

He said that it appeared the deceased lost control of the car he was driving, which then veered off the gravel road before hitting a tree.

Olebile said that investigations into what may have caused the accident are ongoing.

“This is the first accident we have recorded in our policing district this year,” Olebile said.

He urged motorists to always obey traffic laws when driving.
