FRANCISTOWN: Nearly 2,000 residential serviced plots in Francistown remain unallocated by the department of lands and housing despite swelling demand from residents.

This is also despite the fact that the servicing of the plots was completed more than five years ago. This is according to Francistown mayor Sylvia Muzila.

“ I am particularly concerned that the allocation of the plots at the Gerald Estate took too long since they became available in 2012. I am referring to 2,515 unallocated plots out of which 1,988 are residential. This is a serious concern and I need your intervention on this matter,” Muzila told councillors during an ordinary full council meeting yesterday.
