The long awaited case involving a lawyer, Modise David who is facing charges of murder and stealing by agent has today been committed to the High Court for trial.

David and his co-accused Tumelo Tshukudu appeared before Principal Magistrate Goodwill Makofi who detained them in prison to await trial at the High Court.  Makofi took the decision to commit the case to the High Court in the absence of David’s attorney Kgosietsile Ngakaagae.

“You and your attorney have all along been aware that this case was ready for committal, in fact the case could have been committed to the High Court on November 29, but you and your attorney failed to attend court.  You even failed to update court on why you didn’t appear,” said Makofi.
