Mogae Donates P1 Million to BIUST�S Overall Best Students

PALAPYE: Former President Festus Mogae, who is also Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST) Chancellor, has donated P1 million to the Chancellor’s Prize for best overall student. Mogae revealed the prize at the inaugural BIUST graduation ceremony held on Saturday.

He said the prize will be administered by the BIUST vice chancellor and will be shared evenly at the price of P20,000 per occasion for 50 years.

“On behalf of the BIUST council, I have the honour to make the announcement of the decision by the Council to establish the Chancellor’s Prize. This prize will be given to a student assessed to have attained the best overall grades at every BIUST graduation and it begins at this historic ceremony where I have contributed a modest One Million Pula,” he said.
