Twenty-eight of the 40 African nations that attended the just ended 9th session of the ordinary assembly of African heads of state are against the idea of fast-tracking the establishment of one African government.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mompati Merafhe revealed this when he addressed journalists yesterday.

Merafhe said he regretted that three countries that he preferred not to name dedicated their entire time on the floor to talk about their internal conflicts and economic disparities without addressing the priorities of the meeting.
