Masisi Urges BDP Activists To Stop Tonota Campaigns

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairperson, Mokgweetsi Masisi has pleaded with members to put aside all activities and focus on the Tlokweng by-election campaign.

Masisi, who is also the country’s Vice President, had just spoken about the BDP Tlokweng by-election candidate, Elijah Katse and was on his way to his seat when some party members broke into song praising him (Masisi) as the rightful party chairperson.

He went back to the podium, and stated: “I nearly forgot. I was sent by the President to tell you that all party activities will be postponed until after the election. Even campaigns for Tonota should stop as I have heard some of you singing. We are going all out for this constituency, we should win it”.
