Masisi hypes poverty eradication

The Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mokgweetsi Masisi will hold a media briefing on the Poverty Eradication Programme at the Mass Media Complex in Gaborone tomorrow.

Masisi, who chairs the Cabinet Sub-Committee on the Poverty Eradication Programme (PEP) will brief the media on the progress thus far and plans for this year, including the upcoming Poverty Eradication Workshop in Jamataka.

The briefing follows the previous one addressed by the Cabinet Sub Committee on Poverty Eradication on December 10, 2013 to update the media on the progress and plans for this year. These regular meetings are part of the broader mandate of the PEP communications, partnerships and policy advocacy office to advance and sustain a working relationship with the Poverty Eradication Media Corps through regular interaction and provision of information and updates about the Flagship Programme. The Poverty Eradication Coordinating Unit (PECU), headed by Permanent Secretary, Dr John Mothibi is tasked with the coordination and effective implementation of the poverty eradication initiatives, policies and programmes.
