Man shot dead gangland style on farm

In what appears to be an ordered mob hit, five men entered a house at Ruretse Farm where they shot and killed a 62 year-old man and wounded his wife on Monday night.

Police say the assailants entered the farm at 11p.m. and shot and killed the man gangland style before fleeing the scene. Prior to proceeding to the main house the assailants had held a domestic worker prisoner.

The murder was reported to the Broadhurst Police Station at 4a.m. on Tuesday.
The motive of the murder has not been determined. "We have not established the motive of the murder," said Senior Superintendent Dipheko Motube of police public relations. He added that the police were also trying to establish whether anything was stolen from the house.
