Man pleads not guilty for insulting mother

BONTLENG: A 21 year-old man appeared before Urban Customary court (Mosetlheng) in Bontleng yesterday after being accused of insulting his mother on January 26, 2014.Kagiso Makabe from Kalakamati in Kweneng region pleaded not guilty before Urban Customary Court President Kgosi Judge Isaac Monametsi, saying that he was falsely accused.

 

The defendant is said to have committed the crime after having a heated argument with his mother at their residential home at Partial in Gaborone.Unemployed Makabe dismissed the accusations saying that even though he quarreled with his mother who forced him out of bed in that morning, he did not utter offensive words to her. He admitted that he might have been angry with her for mistreating him as she was being harsh to him when waking him up, but he never said any abusive words to her.
