Man escapes �threat to kill� on mother

LOBATSE: A 36-year-old man of Digawana village yesterday escaped jail by a whisker after Lobatse chief magistrate, Mareledi Dipate dismissed charges against him in a case in which he was accused of threatening to kill his mother.

Tefo Rankwe was alleged to have sent his mother, Temogo Mothibi, a text message on March 27 in which he threatened to kill her.

According to the charge sheet Rankwe allegedly sent his mother a message which read: “Nxu stru wena.  I will kill you fa oka nnela go ntsheba”.
