Make use of the rains, Gaborone urges

Addressing the traditional leaders in their opening session yesterday, Gaborone said he hoped Batswana were making good use of the rains to improve national food security.
“I take this time to encourage Batswana to take good care of their fields. I wish to encourage farmers to make good use of the rains by harvesting water, which is a scarce resource in our country. I hope they are also making good use of the rains by planting animal feed like lablab, lucerne and others,” he said.
