The Limkokwing University of Creative Technology hosted the local media for an annual reception lunch at its main campus in Gaborone yesterday.

The management of the university seized the opportunity to brief the media on recent developments at the institution.

Tebatso Hule, associate director of Human Resources (HR) department at Limkokwing said contrary to public perception, retrenchment at the university was not a difficult task as they had a staff welfare committee that understood the tough situation faced by the institution. Hule said during the downsizing process, they gave staff an option of voluntary separation and 158 of them took up the offer, while 13 were retrenched involuntarily.
