PALAPYE: Vice President Slumber Tsogwane, who is also the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairperson, has emphasised that life should not solely revolve around the party's contentious primary elections, Bulela Ditswe.

He delivered this clear message to members of the ruling party over the weekend, This topic had created divisions within the party leading up to the recent National Council and extraordinary congress here.

Bulela Ditswe has historically sparked dissatisfaction and internal disputes within the BDP, prompting some party regions to advocate for the abandonment of these controversial primary elections. However, the party ultimately decided to proceed with Bulela Ditswe despite its imperfections. Tsogwane urged party members not to fixate solely on Bulela Ditswe, stressing that people were beginning to regard these primary elections as the sole determinant of everyday life within the BDP.
