PALAPYE: Letlhakane village, usually a hotbed of violence and crime over the festive season, was relatively peaceful over the just-ended Easter holidays with police only recording a few livestock related traffic incidents.

Letlhakane station commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu attributed the low level of incidents to a clean up campaign conducted prior to the holidays.

“Prior to Easter, we cleaned up all the drinking spots that sell illegal spirits such as the infamous traditional beer khadi, setopoti and others,” he said.
