Letlhakane police investigate teen rape, suspect known

Letlhakane police are investigating a case in which a 16-year-old girl was raped by a known man at a cattle post on the outskirts of Letlhakane village on Friday.

Investigating the case, No. 8 district acting officer commanding, superintendent Obert Manji said the incident occurred at around 10am when the teenage girl was home alone after her mother left for work. “The suspect, who is known to the family, found the teenage girl home alone and raped her then fled the crime scene. Investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate and arrest the suspect who is still at large,” Manji said.
