A 38 year-old man received four strokes of the whip at the Urban Customary Court yesterday, after he was found guilty of common nuisance. Tiroyaone Kgari was punished after he was found gambling in the street on Tuesday.

Police officers pounced on the Molepolole man while he was gambling using three red bottle tops under the bridge near the Gaborone Bus Rank. When approached by the police, the gang bolted, but Kgari was caught. A subsequent police search uncovered the three red bottle caps and P170.
