I Used To Hide My Long Legs In Pants

Linsha, full names Lingani Shadrack, the two metres tall youthful Francistown model who wowed the crowd in Gaborone during the July President Day Art competitions says she used to confine her assets in ugly pants for decades, not aware she had a diamond.

“I was a tomboy growing up. I used to hear peers cheering me as a Naomi Campbell, a Tyra Banks; but it didn’t click to me what they saw me in me; I liked wearing long pants all the time until in 2009, a certain woman approached me and told me how beautiful it could be modelling her short dress; she asked me to do a photo shoot; I could not believe what I saw, the beauty of my long legs. There was a new realisation in me that I was born for the catwalk, and I started doing more events”.

Linsha recently returned from a modelling trip in Canada where an African fashion week was hosted.
