Gabane road tarring project awaiting fund approval

Gabane residents left their main Kgotla last Tuesday morning nursing broken hearts after hopes of having their toads tarred soon, were dashed.

This followed a report of the Kweneng District Council (KDC) meetings by the village's councillors. Councilor Ofentse Mareme (Gabane North East) said the concerned ministry is yet to approve the funds needed for the road construction.

"...So far, it is just the survey that has been done. However the plans show that the roads will be bigger than in other villages because of Gabane's proximity to Gaborone as projections show that the traffic volume will increase over time," said Mareme.
