FCC removes illegal signboards

FRANCISTOWN: The Physical Planning division of the Francistown City Council (FCC) has declared war on illegal signboards, some of which are an eyesore and a menace.

After a recent operation to remove such signboards, the senior public relations officer of the council, Priscilla Gulubane-Simula, says the campaign will be a continuous exercise that began last year.

"We targeted illegal signboards throughout the Francistown Planning Area that we have the manpower or capacity to remove," she says.
