DRC-bound horse and trailer burnt to ashes

FRANCISTOWN: Tonota police are investigating a case in which a horse and trailer truck from South Africa enroute to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) burnt to ashes at Makomoto lands.

At least P180,000 worth of products being transported, was destroyed.

“We are investigating a fire incident case in which a horse and trailer truck with double trailer burnt to ashes after the truck’s back tyres caught fire whilst the driver was driving towards Makomoto lands on Sunday late evening,” Tonota police station commander, Superintendent Kenanao Badumetse confirmed.
