Court reporters-Registrar talks deadlocked

FRANCISTOWN: The out of court settlement that was envisaged between disgruntled court reporters and their employer - the Registrar of the High Court - has reached a deadlock.

This came after Justice Modiri Letsididi ordered the two parties to smoke the peace pipe four weeks ago. 

The move became inevitable after private attorney Morgan Moseki of MCM Moseki Attorneys, representing Lilian Nche and 15 other court reporters, opposed the state's application for condonation of late filing of their opposing affidavit. State counsel Tshedukani Elijah agreed with Moseki that on August 20 the Director of Ministry Management Gagoope Sebeo met with Moseki at his law firm whereupon the director promised to promote some applicants to C2 scale.
