CAB commemorates Cancer Day

The Cancer Association (CAB) of Botswana on February 4 joins the world in commemorating World Cancer Day. The event will be held through a commemoration activity at Maruapula School in Gaborone between 5pm and 7:30pm.

“The main aim of commemorating this day is to take part in the global effort to show support to all those affected by cancer and to remember those we have lost to the fight. We pledge ourselves to a collaborative Fight Against Cancer under the global theme for 2016 – 2018 ‘We Can, I Can’ which explores how everyone as a collective or individuals, can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer,” organisers said.

Participation at the event is free, but the CAB will welcome monetary or “in-kind” donations towards the organisation’s efforts.
