CA Hosts Tender-Rigging Workshop

The Competition Authority (CA) is hosting a training workshop today for parastatals on bid-rigging. In a statement, the CA says the workshop starts at 8am at Boipuso Hall in Gaborone.

The training workshops started last year with government ministries.  They are meant to empower officers in tender committees and procurement units with skills to detect and prevent bid-rigging, also known as collusive tendering. 

Bid-rigging has the biggest potential to cause harm in public procurement which is usually the major driver of many economies.
