BotswanaPost employee granted bail

Broadhurst magistrate Munashi Ndlovu yesterday granted bail to a BotswanaPost employee, Nicholas Motsipa, who is accused of stealing cash amounting to P611,818.45 from the Broadhurst Post Office.

According to court papers, the accused is said to have stolen P611,818.45 between December 14 and 15, 2016 while employed as a supervisor. The 36-year-old was granted in bail on condition that he binds himself and his own recognisance in the sum of P1,000. He is also to provide one surety who will also to bind themselves in the same amount.

When granting Motsipa bail, Ndlovu ordered that the accused must attend court when he is required to do so. “The accused must not interfere with the state witnesses,” Ndlovu said.
