BOFEPUSU digs its heels in on judiciary

* Remains critical of Justice Kirby's appointment as President appeals court

The Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) has reacted angrily to the Registrar and Master of the High Court's threat to cite it for contempt and repeats its critical view of Justice Ian Kirby's appointment as President of the Court of Appeal.

This follows a March 21 press release issued by Godfrey Nthomiwa threatening to institute contempt proceedings against BOFEPUSU officials after they released a statement critical of a judgment delivered by the Court of Appeal in a matter between the union and the government.
