BNF summons youth over media utterances

The Monitor has learnt that the BNF top brass is not happy with statements made by Youth League secretary general, Arafat Khan and spokesman, Maikgantsho Ramontsho on the congress resolution that allows expelled members to come back to the party. Khan reportedly said that BNF secretary general, Akanyang Magama had not interpreted the resolution properly. He faulted Magama's take that the expelled politicians automatically became members after the congress and there is no need for them to formally write to the party indicating their interest to re-join. Khan stated that the resolution calls for expelled members to be reinstated after going through normal re-admission procedures contrary to Magama's call for automatic admission.
Ramontsho has been summoned to appear before the executive committee after he was quoted in the press saying the politburo never invites them to party events. Today, the duo will meet the party executive to explain why they contradicted the politburo in public.
