The Botswana Land Boards, Local Government and Health Workers Union (BLLAHWU) is set to honour at least 16 trade union activists including 10 veterans at their awards this week. The awards will be part of their triennial congress that would also elect into office the new executive committee.

BLLAHWU secretary general  Kelhalefile Motshegwa says the congress will also hear the state of affairs at BLLAHWU, as well as at its investment arm, Mokaulengwe Investments in the last three years.

Motshegwa says their award event will see the vibrant trade union rewarding branch of the year, region of the year, secretary of the year, chairperson of the year, treasurer of the year, promising leader of the year, as well as recognising not less than 10 veterans of the union movement.
