FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) members in Francistown South who protested the party's January primaries have been officially informed that their protests have not succeeded, Mmegi has learnt.

Mmegi has established that the concerned members received their responses late Monday this week. In addition, this publication has also learnt that letters were written prior to inauguration of President Mokgweetsi Masisi on April 1 but it is unclear as to why they were not delivered on time.

“ It is true that those who protested the elections have received their response letters. I am however, not privy to the contents of the letters,” said Baemedi Medupi, the party’s Francistown region chairperson.
