BDP hires PR manager

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has created a Public Relations department within its secretariat to deal specifically with the media, executive secretary Dr Comma Serema said yesterday.

BDP's first PR manager is Gaborone-based attorney, Segaetsho Garekwe, whose appointment takes effect from May 1. Until his appointment, Garekwe was the BDP National Elections Strategy Team (NEST) coordinator.

"As a party operative, Garekwe has the knowledge and history of the party and is better placed to explain a lot of issues about the party to interested parties," said Serema.
