BCP activists defect to BDP

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Two Botswana Congress Party (BCP) activists in Selebi-Phikwe have defected to the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

They are Moffat Ramokate and Vincent Pholo who castigated their former party during a rally held at General Freedom Square to welcome them into the BDP fold.

Ramokate and Pholo both unsuccessfully contested the party's council primaries in the run-up to the 2004 general election.
