BDPs reclaiming Shoma event was postponed due to bad weather

SHOSHONG: The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has refuted reports that the ‘Reclaiming Shoma’ event which was to be held in the area on Saturday was postponed due to the unavailability of party president, Mokgweetsi Masisi.

The event which was supposed to welcome Shoshong legislator, Aubrey Lesaso into the BDP fold was postponed after the rain and windy weather disrupted and caused immense damage to the already set venue which included marquees.

Lesaso dumped the Umbrella for Democratic Change for the BDP last year and had never been officially welcomed despite being appointed as Assistant Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology.
