Arson investigations go up in smoke

"I was alerted at about three o'clock in the morning when one of the villagers saw a tongue of flame coming out of the entrance of the office. But by the time people came to help extinguish the fire, everything had been burned down," says Rabahumi.
Among the burnt items were records dating back to 1969, which Rabahumi said, were a great loss to not just the village, but also to the entire nation.
"The incident is also a great loss to coming generations because they will not be able to learn how we were doing things," he laments.
The Letlhakane police who also have Mosu under their jurisdiction took up investigations of the matter on the morrow of the arson, but they have also since thrown in the towel.
Station commander, Solomon Sedumedi, says they reached the conclusion that their investigations reached a cul-de-sac this Tuesday.
